About me
I'm Jane Winson UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) registered psychotherapist (2011169847), I am what is known as a systemic psychotherapist and I am also a qualified supervisor. I am a white British female, now in my 50s,and I have had the benefit of various life experiences (some easier to navigate than others) which helps inform my practice. Alongside this I have been a counsellor, psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer for over 15 years working within the NHS, voluntary sector and privately.
Before becoming a therapist, I ran my own successful retail business, navigating the challenges of the 2008 financial crisis. That experience taught me resilience, adaptability, and the value of working smarter, not harder - insights that continue to inform my practice today.

My approach is shaped by both my professional training and the diverse experiences I’ve encountered throughout life. I understand that life brings both rewarding and difficult moments. These experiences help me connect with clients in a meaningful way, offering a professional yet compassionate space for exploration, growth, and change.
I gained a first in my BA(hons) in Humanistic Counselling based on Transactional Analysis in 2015 and have continued studying completing my MSc Psychological Therapies Practice and Research at Exeter University in 2019 and my most Post Graduate through Manchester in 2023.
